Circumcision – an Overview
Boys are born with a fold of skin that covers the head of the penis ((also called glans). Circumcision is the surgical process that is used to remove this fold of skin or foreskin from the head of the penis. This is one of the common medical procedures that is widely performed in countries like the Middle East, the United States, Canada and Africa. Circumcision is not necessary or compulsory for a boy’s health. Medical associations neither recommend it nor disapprove of it.
